Daniel Tschofenig: “That’s absolutely amazing feeling to have three gold medals from Junior World Championships. I knew I am able to jump good and I knew what I am able to show. Going home with three gold medals is absolutely amazing and looks a bit crazy. I think it couldn’t be better for me in any way. I hope I will continue with this form now”.
Marcel Strzinar: “It feels amazing. For me and Maksim its first medal ever from Junior World Championships, so I couldn’t be more happy. I’m not satisfied with my performance today, I am a little bit exhausted, but all in all we were good as a team, so we can be happy”.
Iver Olaussen: “It’s amazing. I didn’t think before the competition that we will take it, but we had a chance to be on the podium, because everyone jumped great. I think we did really great today. The Championships was amazing and the hill and the atmosphere was awesome. It was the best competition I have been so far”.
Austrian Daniel Tschofenig leaves Zakopane with three gold medals - from the individual, team and mixed competition. Among women, the biggest star was the Slovenian Nika Prevc - world champion individually and in teams, and a silver medalist in the mixed competition. Three medals (gold individually and bronze in team and mixed competitions) were also won by the Austrian Nordic combined skier, Stefan Rettenegger.
