The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced in an official statement that in order to ensure the safety and protection of all athletes participating in FIS competitions, as recommended by the IOC, with immediate effect, no athlete from Russia or Belarus will participate in any FIS competition at any level. until the end of the season 2021-2022. Therefore, it is impossible for athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in the FIS World Junior Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Championships in Zakopane and they did not appear on the competition start lists.

From Monday, February 28, 2022, the athletes have official training in ski jumping and Nordic combined on the ski jumps of the Middle Krokiew and the cross-country tracks of the Central Sports Center in Zakopane. The competition for the titles will begin on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, and the championship will end on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
