Johann Andre Forfang won the qualification for Sunday’s FIS World Cup individual competition and he won the price of 3000 CHF. His teammate, Robert Johansson, was the second, whereas third place went to Timi Zajc from Slovenia. All Polish ski jumpers qualified for the event.

Aleksander Zniszczoł, quite unexpectedly, had the best performance among Polish ski jumpers. With a jump of 128.5 meters he had been leading the qualification for a long time. Dawid Kubacki who is thought to win on Sunday was 10th. The longest jump among Polish athletes belonged to Jakub Wolny – 132 meters. Due to good weather conditions and a gate, he lost 19 points and finally ended the qualification at 16th position. Kamil Stoch was 21st, so he qualified with no doubts. Other Polish ski jumpers occupied the positions between 33th and 44th, so all of them will perform on Sunday.

A bad performance of Ryoyu Kobayashi, the current leader of World Cup overall classification, was the biggest surprise of the qualification. He jumped 120 meters, so he was only 31st and, what’s more, he lost with his older brother Junshiro and other athletes. Stefan Kraft, who was 4th, proved that his shape is getting better and better. Moreover, also Evgeniy Klimov, the winner of the individual competition in Wisła, had a good performance. He jumped 136.5 meters and ended the qualification at 5th position.
