That was a very successful day for the Polish ski jumpers competing in FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Zakopane. Friday was a day of training sessions and qualification round, in which the Polish representatives ruled. Qualification was won by Kamil Stoch, and right behind him was Stefan Hula – the second place. However, the hero of the day was the youngest in the Polish team - Andrzej Stekala, who was jumping very well in training sessions and in qualification round.

Friday jumps on Wielka Krokiew Hill were very successful for the Polish team. „White-reds” representatives love jumping in front of their own audience, what was proved already in Friday's workout. In the first serie of training the furthest jump was held by Peter Prevc - 128. 5 metres. In the second  round the best jumps belonged to Polish athletes. Quite unexpectedly in the lead was Andrzej Stekala from AZS Zakopane, which flew around up to 137. 5 meters. The second result reached Dawid Kubacki - 136.5 meters. Kamil Stoch and Maciej Kot jumped at a distance of 131 meters, what was the fourth best result in this series. To point out – Stoch reached very good and equal jumps. At the first attempt he had the fifth result with the distance of 127 meters.

In qualification round for the individual competition in FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Zakopane twelve Polish athletes started and nine of them will start on Sunday. For the main individual competition in World Cup only Krzysztof Mietus and Klemens Muranka are not qualified. Bartlomiej Klusek, who jumped very well, was disqualified. In qualification round Kamil Stoch once again presented the longest jump for 134 meters. Just behind him, with a score of 132.5 meters, was Stefan Hula. Another of the Poles Andrzej Stekala took a great 6th place, and Maciej Kot was classified right behind him. The first 15 of qualification results closed Dawid Kubacki. Among the players with provided qualification the best was German - Richard Freitag, who landed at 139 meter.

-I knew it would be good today. I did a good job and I am satisfied – summed up the Friday performance Kamil Stoch. -This is definitely a magical place, and our supporters add us wings. We know this place and this hill very well, so we have certain advantage, besides we are jumpin very well now -  added Maciej Kot.
